Newspapers view the carrier as an independent business, which is a crock of crap! It is time that the newspaper carriers be covered by minimum wage laws, by worker's compensation insurance, and be paid for the mileage they use their car for the purpose of making money for the Newspaper!
I drive 30 miles a night to deliver the paper. I am using a minimum of $4.00 of gas a night.
